What Men Don't Understand About Being A House Wife

So I deiced to put my personal input into this. I do not think that most men, unless there house husbands, understand what most of us stay at home moms or house wives do. It is not easy, and yes we do a lot of work. So I will be going through my routine, yes your wife may be doing a bit more of less but most of things I do they most likely do.

Our Hours

First understand that being a wife especially a house wife/stay at home mom is not a 9 to 5 job, we work 24/7/365. We rarely get a day off, no calling off, and most of the time we work while were sick!

What Do We Do All Day (Well Me Personally)

About 8am

Okay well first I get up and drink a cup of coffee, if I don't I will be cranky and nothing will get done. I am still working in a way, I am thinking about what to make for dinner and pulling something out.

Then Cleaning

Since my husband and I both have severe allergies especially to dust, I clean everyday. First is dusting, every little place gets dusted every day. Then wiping down the counters, then vacuuming, then mopping. Not to mention cleaning the bathroom. About every other day is laundry, including sheets about once a week. This takes a good hour or two..

Lets say it's about about 10-11am

Now I do sit and start to work online. I work pretty hard at all the different jobs I do, even though it is mostly writing. It is not that easy writing different topics and doing a good through job plus writing whatever my clients want done on a deadline. Do you know how long research takes? Then to try and get the best of it and combined it into an article in less than an hour or two? Talk about stress.

About 12-1pm

Now it's time to go outside and pull weeds, clean the pool, trim/mow the lawn, and make sure everything looks great outside. If it is raining then this is about the time I go grocery shopping.

2-3pm

Go in wash my hands and time to start dinner. Hopefully I thought of what to make with what I pulled out earlier. While cooking I set the table.

4-5pm

You come home dinner is done, your favorite channel on, and a nice cold beer in hand for you ready to drink. Then we eat, you go relax from a hard day and I clean up. Make you dessert quick, unless I already made it sometime this morning.

Now it is about 6-7pm

Make you lunch for the next day and make sure you are comfortable. I go around to make sure everything is nice and clean, then if I didn't forget to do anything I take a nice shower.

Approx 8-9pm

Now if I can I try to fit an hour or two of work in while your playing a game or watching TV.

It's Now About 11-12 pm/am

It's about time to call it a night. But if your sick forget about it we will be up all night.

Sleep and Repeat.

Other Things That Could Come Up

Now not to mention most people have there own things such as a guys night out, poker, golf, etc. Both men and women have there own thing to do. So try adding that once a week or two into that.

Plus having dinner parties, picnics, or holidays.

Or doctor appointments.

I didn't mention any children in mine, so try adding that while doing everything else.

Overall

See to some of you this may sound like a rant or complaining. Yes but no. I do not, seriously, I do not mind doing all of this. There are times a little notice would be nice. A little oh wow great job with dinner or the lawn, or anything. A little consideration that we do a lot all day. We need a little notice here and there and that makes it all worth wild.

So most of us women do have a 24/7/365 job. I know you work hard to but so do we.

Just remember the house, lawn, dirty clothes, sheets, dinner, dessert, gifts at holidays, all your favorite foods, everything planned and taken care of does not get cleaned, trimmed, planned or anything by it's self. It is all us.

Just try and add kids to this mixture.....I think there have been several movies made on the subject of men staying home and they can't believe what has to be done.

Yea I have to agree. I'm not saying men don't work hard but sometimes I don't think they really know all that we do and why we get stressed.
